Healthy Hot Chocolate

There’s really nothing better than snuggling up on a cold day with a cup of hot chocolate. And this version satisfies all of your chocolate cravings without sacrificing those New Year’s Resolutions! This is SO easy to whip up and it tastes SO much better than any hot chocolate you could ever get in a microwavable packet. Stock up on these ingredients for the winter because this is a recipe you’ll want to come back to again and again!

Healthy Hot Chocolate

INGREDIENTS
1 Cup of Coconut Milk (preferably full-fat from a can)
1 tbsp of Cacao
1/4 tsp of Cinnamon
1 tsp of Maple Syrup
1/2 tsp of Vanilla
dash of sea salt

Directions

  1. Heat 1 cup of light coconut milk on the stovetop over medium heat.

  2. Add a heaping tablespoon of cacao powder (not cocoa! cacao is the less processed version and much richer. I love this blend from Navitas Organics because of the added adaptogens.

  3. Add 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp maple syrup, 1/2 tsp vanilla and a dash of sea salt.

  4. Use a milk brother to blend it all up.
